Full Day: Underground Region Tour (Private)

As we leave our hotel, we will drive to the Red Valley, one of the most beautiful trekking valley in Cappadocia. We will explore the famous rock-carved churches and hike 5 km through this valley. After this, in Cavusin, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest and lunch.Cavusin is one of the oldest Greek villages in Cappadocia and is famous for its houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. In the afternoon, we continue to Ortahisar cas-tle of the same style as the Uchisar cas-tle. In this small village you will see storage places : the inhabitants of Ortahisar earn their living by storing fruits year long in these tuff carved caves. We then proceed to Kaymakli, one of the underground cities whe-re early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back we will visit the Pigeon Valley whe-re you will see how the pigeons were bred, used as messengers’ and to fertilize the vineyards. After all these valley visits, we will enjoy a stop at a local wine factory and taste one of the famous Turasan wines in Urgup before returning to our hotel
