CITY TOURS TURKEY (Groups)

City tours are being organized on a regular basis yet with a set programs and you will join cosmopolite English speaking groups.
Entrance fees and lunch (for full day programs) are included in price.

Some tours are not organized every day and these days may not suit your program.  You then still have the option to pick a tailor made program as these can be organized any day and will be adapted to your wishes and interests.

KUSADASI CITY TOURS

Kusadasi, or Birds’ Island in Turkish, is known as a “fisher-men’s” village. Originally it was a quiet garden where farmers harvested thyme, sage, wild roses, figs, grapes and olives.  It is today an animated village.

Kusadasi enjoys the vicinity of Ephesus but is also an ideal base to visit the area and famous archaeological sites and typical villages such as Bergama, Aphrodisias, Pamukkale, Laodikea, Priene - Miletos - Didyma, Tire, Sirince... just to name a few.

IZMIR CITY TOURS

Former Smyrna, capital of the Aegean region, Izmir is also called the Pearl of Aegean. Izmir – the third biggest city and second biggest commercial harbor of Turkey - is considered by the Turks as the most beautiful and most modern city of the country.

If you will reside in Izmir, excursions to Bergama, Sardis, Ephesus, the typical village of Tire are among your options.

ISTANBUL CITY TOURS

Istanbul is a city of contrasts, which everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. It is an enchanting blend of Eastern and Western culture, a vibrant, modern city, with a unique identity. Its rich past coexists with modern life.

Except for the worthwhile seeing in Istanbul, the city is also a departure center for Galipolli, Troy, Bursa, Edirne and Iznik.

CAPPADOCIA TOURS

Cappadocia is a stunning area of lunar rock formations. The area is also famous for its carpet-weaving, wines and the distinctive red pottery of the Avanos area. Cappadocia was a refuge for the early Christians, who escaped persecution by living and worshipping underground.

Except for the tours organized within the borders of this region, you may also consider an outing to Konya (Mevlana, Catalhoyuk, caravanserays...) or to Kayseri (Mount Erciyes, ski resort)

SELCUK CITY TOURS

Selcuk is a village in the Izmir Province, 1 1/2 kilometres (1 miles) northeast of the ancient city of Ephesus.
Its original Greek name, "Agios Theologos" referred to John the Theologian. In the 14th century, it was the capital of the Emirate of Aydin. Under the Ottoman Empire, it was known as Ayasoluk. In 1914, it was renamed Selcuk after the Seljuk Turks who first led incursions into the region in the 12th century.

BODRUM CITY TOURS

In the eyes of its lovers Bodrum, with its low-rise whitewashed houses and subtropical gardens, is the longest-established most attractive and most versatile Turkish resort.
Bodrum, originally known as Halikarnassos, was colonized by Dorians from the Pelopenose during the 11th century BC. It was member of the so-called “Dorian Hexapolis” (eight cities) of which Knidos, Kos, Lindos, Kamiros, Ialyssos where also members.

PAMUKKALE CITY TOURS

This “Cotton Castle” (as it’s meaning in Turkish) is a white cascade from sources containing chalky water which formed stalactites, basins and terraces.  The water is renowned for its healing qualities for eye and skin diseases, for softening rheumatisms, asthma and dermatitis crisis.

Pamukkale is an excellent base to visit sites such as Hierapolis, Laodikea, Aphrodisias and even Ephesus

ANTALYA CITY TOURS

Antalya, the second tourist centre in Turkey, lies at the feet of the Mount Taurus (Toros) and straight on the Mediterranean. The city is blessed with a very nice climate except during the heats of July and August.

FETHIYE CITY TOURS

Modern Fethiye is located on the site of the ancient city of Telmessos, the ruins of which can be seen in the city, e.g. the Hellenistic theatre by the main quay.

MARMARIS CITY TOURS

Once a sleepy fishing village, Marmaris has ballooned into one of the largest resorts on the Aegean coast. Little of its history remains, as the town is now a modern center with tourism at its heart and soul.
